Morning photo: Rainy days …

Cloudscape over the Continental Divide in Summit County, Colorado.

SUMMIT COUNTY — After a dry winter and scary dry start to the spring and summer, the monsoon season came through for at least parts of the Colorado high country with plentiful rains. Some years, you hear a lot of moaning and grumbling if it’s a bit damp from time to time, but this year, after a series of major wildfires, everyone was relieved when the rains kicked in. Here’s what it looked like along Meadow Creek in Frisco on recent rainy morning.

Mt. Royal shrouded in morning clouds and mist.
Bluebell with raindrops through an Instagram filter. It’s not easy capturing detailed and focused closeup with the iPhone unless you get one of those special lenses, which I haven’t (yet). But I recently read that Target is now carrying the Olloclip lens accessories, so I might have to check them out one of these days.
Here’s the same shot, no Instagram filter … still with the iPhone.
Wet grass.
Aspen leaf with raindrops with Instagram.
Aspen leaf, no Instagram, no post-processing. Which one do you like better?
Wetness …
