New licenses required starting April 1; CDOW provides a wealth of online angling information

SUMMIT COUNTY — With the ice starting to melt off streams and lakes, it’s time to get ready for the fishing season. That includes getting a new license for the year, as all 2009 licenses expired the last day of March.

And the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s fishing report is available online starting April 13. The report provides a comprehensive guide to statewide fishing conditions, stocking information and weekly angling tips.

Anglers can purchase 2010 licenses and stamps online at this link, by phone  at 1-800-244-5613 or at statewide DOW offices and license agents. The 2010 Colorado fishing regulations brochure, with important information on statewide rules, license fees and limits is available at the same locations.
