Winter into spring …
Take a chance, shoot into the sun from time to time. Even though this shot was taken just a few yards away from the edge of busy I-70, I like the sense of stillness, and especially the depth, of this image, taken with an iPhone and filtered with Instagram.
FRISCO —Ahhh, February, the mid-winter month that sometimes offers tantalizing glimpses of spring, and other times seems to give little hope that the snow will ever melt. But if you want to take good snow pictures, there’s probably no better time. There’s a little more daylight, especially late in the month, and from time to time it even warms up to the point that you can work a camera without gloves and without finger frostbite. If you like our daily snaps, please visit the online Summit Voice gallery at Fine Art America, where you’ll find a great selection of Summit County landscape and nature images.
One of my favorite shots came early in the month — Feb. 1, to be exact — when I timed a morning jaunt along the Blue River perfectly.
Main Street in my home town. Yes, there’s a little graininess and fuzziness to this iPhone shot, but still … gotta LOVE the snow!
