Early autumn brilliance
SUMMIT COUNTY —Wednesday was a pretty good day to be out taking pictures, especially early in the morning, as the storm clouds lifted to reveal yet another fresh coat of snow on some of the higher peaks in the area. One of the best places for sunrise is up on Ptarmigan Mountain or in the Williams Fork Range, where you can watch the first rays of the sun light up the granite screen of the Gore Range. Add some fresh snow, golden aspens and wispy clouds into the mix and it’s pure magic.
