Lynx habitat occupancy in the San Juans was assessed by visiting grids based on the average size of a home range. Blue squares represent areas where lynx use was assessed by biologists in the field. Orange squares represent areas where automated cameras and lures were used to try and detect lynx. Cross-hatched areas are the units where lynx use was confirned.
