Morning photo: The leaves they are a changin’

Colorado gold …

North Tenmile Creek, Frisco, Colorado.

FRISCO —It seem as though the aspens are eager for the end of this long, hot summer. Remember, we were seeing temps in the 50s and 60s in March, 70s in April, and May and June were off the charts, with historic statewide high temperatures. At the rate they’re changing, the peak of the season will probably be a couple of weeks earlier than last year, so if you’re planning a leaf-watching excursion, now’s the time.

Mt. Royal. Frisco, Colorado.

Peachy sky.

Lone tree.

Old and new.

At the point.

Season transition.

Some instagram fun.
