Multiple agencies investigating ‘suspicious circumstances’ of death

SUMMIT COUNTY — Law enforcement officials are investigating what they’re calling the suspicious death of an adult male in Breckenridge, Colorado.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says the body was found Sunday morning in the forest near the Burro Trailhead. In a press release, the sheriff’s office said the circumstances surrounding the death appear to be suspicious. At this time, the victim has not been identified.

The SCSO is also asking that the area around the trailhead be kept clear, as the investigation is still in progress.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by The Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Breckenridge Police Department, Summit County Search and Rescue and the Summit County Coroner’s office.
No further information is being released at this time; however, a news conference has been scheduled for today, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the lower parking lot Beaver Run Resort, located at 620 Village Road in Breckenridge, Colorado.
