Spring, winter … it’s all the same in the high country
Stretching for the morning sun.
SUMMIT COUNTY — May in the high country is equivalent to March in the lowlands, with fickle weather that brings warm sunshine one minute and thick, wet snowflakes the next. Some years, people complain about snow in May, but not now. After exceptionally warm and dry weather in March and April, these May showers will help delay the onset of the wildfire season.
