Morning photo: August

High country summer

Late summer high in the Gore Range of Colorado.

SUMMIT COUNTY — Looking back through the August photo files made me long for summer just a little bit. It’s such a short season in the Colorado high country, but it also made me realize that I made the most of it, at least in terms of photography. Nearly every day resulted in some good images, from around the shore of Dillon Reservoir to the far backcountry of the Gore Range. Help up choose the August photo for the 2012 Summit Voice calender by voting in the poll at the end of the post.

  1. Glad I don’t have to choose the final pic. They all have their own qualities as well as the expertise of the photographer.
