SUMMIT COUNTY — Much to the dismay of global warming deniers and skeptics, a new climate model suggests that there is no “missing” heat — it’s merely hiding deep in the oceans. The Summit Voice story reporting the findings of the climate scientists — including Colorado-based Kevin Trenberth, with the National Center for Atmospheric Research — was the most-viewed story this past week, with almost 7,000 hits.
Other top stories included more coverage of the devastating Texas wildfires, which not only have burned thousands of homes, but also tens of thousands of acres of valuable forest. According to the Texas State Forest Service, the losses could amount to almost $100 million.
