SUMMIT COUNTY — Streetlights have long been a favorite subject for photographers and painters — think about Edward Hopper’s famous Diner painting. There something about balancing natural lighting with the sometimes surreal glow of artificial sources to create an aesthetically pleasing image. It’s not always easy, but when it’s done right, the results can be magical.
Lights are the subject of this week’s edition of the popular #FriFotos Twitter chat, a day-long event open to anyone willing to post a photo and hashtag it with #FriFotos. Here are some night-light shots from close to home and far away.
